Sun and Fun in New Hampshire!

After a long day of flying, driving, and busing, all the members of Bridge Caribbean made it safely to Windsor Mountain Summer Camp in New Hampshire. They were greeted by a beautiful sunny day, along with 200+ campers and 80 staff who were also arriving for the first day of summer camp. The evening began with a cookout at the waterfront and some get-to-know-you games. The group immediately clicked and they stayed up for hours talking and sharing stories about themselves - a great start to the program!

Today, everyone cooked breakfast together and then had a morning swim. Now they are doing some group orientation activities, including writing their Full Value Contract (a group-authored document that outlines the values and principles necessary to function as a healthy group: kindness, respect, communication...) and coming up with skits about different scenarios (cultural awareness, inclusivity, group life, etc.). Tonight Bridge Caribbean will join up with the summer camp for a big cookout and some spectacular fireworks. What a day!
